What's your favorite Ultima?
Which Ultima game stands the test of time, or is most outstanding one in the series for you? If you had to pick just one title to recommend to a new player, which would you choose?
cran says "I may be a bit biased as it was my first exposure to Ultima at all but my favorite has always been V. Dark, dark, atmosphere, always having you look over your shoulder, with you and your friends as outlaws. My biggest regret is not having played Ultima IV first to have the context of what the shift in atmosphere between the two games really meant. I didn't "get" U4 at first, but now that I've played them all - my favorite is still U5. It's very, very closely followed by Martian Dreams, which is another ball of wax!"cranI may be a bit biased as it was my first exposure to Ultima at all but my favorite has always been V.
